Project 0.75KG 10/22 has started
Turns out my long carbon barrel on the Bento Box with a folding brace printed at 100% infill and with a red dot optic is 2 pounds 15 ounces (light but also not a total toothpick but the length makes you feel like it is lighter than it is)
I am starting today to make the lightest 10/22 I can with 3D printing and carbon components on a BUDGET! No titanium charging handles that cost more that the rest of the build.
Here is what I am starting with and what I need to solve -
- Ivan the troll receiver as I think it is better for this build than the others available (Galileo, LX22, Bento Box, etc)
- 16.25 carbon fiber barrel with trimmed down chamber and end cap (my 19.5" weights 8 oz now)
- I am thinking of using a similar design to this for the chassis and using a carbon tube for the "stock" so I need to work to reduce this design to a lighter profile and I need to work out a printable butt pad for the tube.
Any CAD people out there want to help? Things take me forever in CAD and they end up looking pretty ugly.
STAY TUNED
