Canadians are eager to return to normal in a post-COVID-19 life, with one in five Canadians already feeling things are normal now, according to exclusive polling conducted for Global News by Ipsos. The polling did, however, show 19 per cent say they're unsure they'll ever be able to live without masking or mandates.

But even with people ready, about two-thirds feel governments aren't doing enough to get there.

In terms of how Canada will get to that "normal" space, Canadians are in favour of a slew of options, with 40 per cent saying vaccinations are the most effective way to do so. Only 14 per cent say border closures or rapid tests in the workplace will do the trick. In terms of penalizing those who won't get vaccinated, a very slim number of Canadians think it would help get to a normal post-COVID life, with just nine per cent in favour of doing so.
