Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on the coup. Ok, this is where it starts to get good.

So, on this day, two years ago – Jan. 28th – with the President’s legal team fighting for their lives against what would prove to be totally bogus charges against President Trump on the floor of the United States Senate, the CDC announced that the first U.S. case of person-to-person spread had been discovered from a new virus from China.

Later that day, President Trump had reliable sources who did not downplay the seriousness of a deadly virus having gotten loose from China’s only Level 4 virology lab in Wuhan, China. And so, while he was fighting for his political life in the Senate, he still had the intellect to decide to try to prevent spread of COVID-19 in this country by issuing orders that by 5pm Sunday, Jan. 31, 2020, all U.S. citizens who had traveled to China in the previous 14 days would be quarantined at March Air Reserve Base in California, the first mandatory quarantine order in the U.S. in 50 years.

And the MSM, desperate to go in for the kill on Trump had something else they thought might get additional traction. Trump was over-reacting! He would destroy international trade with our best buddies, the communist Chinese, who had enslaved a huge portion of their nation in the quest to produce everything in China at a cheaper price then could be done in the western world, so that in the near future they could destroy their economies and dominate them economically and ultimately militarily.

Here is the first picture of a COVID-19 patient being treated in a hospital in China. Notice protective attire that the healthcare worker was zipped into already.

On Jan. 31, The New York Times was already downplaying the story. They reported that only 250 had died of the virus, and 12,000 COVID-19 infections had been confirmed, apparently none outside of China.

However, 2 days earlier, January 29, The once prestigious medical journal, The Lancet estimated that as many as 75,815 people had been infected just in Wuhan, China, alone, and that had been taken from numbers gathered 3 days earlier.

Already the experts were getting their arms around the dangers of COVID. According to a White House transcript of what was likely the first official televised briefing, Dr. Robert Redfield, Director of the Centers for Disease Control, said that the coronavirus represents:

“…a serious health situation in China, but I want to emphasize that the risk to the American public currently is low. Our goal is do all we can do to keep it that way.”

Oh, by the way, we discovered today that transcript has disappeared from the White House website.

However, just today we dug up a preprint from the Jan. 24 edition of the prestigious Medical Archives which stated that some of the world’s top epidemiologists estimated that over 11,000 people in Wuhan had been infected by Jan. 21, and by January 24th, nearly 200,000 Wuhan residents would become infected, but the virus would also be:

“… established in other Chinese cities, and … countries.”

They also predicted that even with travel restrictions that were 99% effective, the Chinese would be:

So, the numbers were out there as any physician who kept up with his journal reading would have known.

So, certainly by the end of January, every responsible administrative physician did know, or should have known the speed with which this virus was spreading and the inherent dangers it would probably bring to the United States and the rest of the world.

This was not a time for underplaying the danger to the press and not undercutting the President in his effort to slow the spread.

I’m still reporting from the citadel of world freedom. Good day.
