After being captured by the FBI, she admitted to having “handwritten notes that referred to a ‘mass casualty attack’ and that listed various locations in the United States, including Plum Island, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, and the Brooklyn Bridge.”
NBC News reported that Siddiqui may have married the nephew of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Despite these allegations, Ilhan Omar and her allies at the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and American Muslims for Palestine have pressed for Siddiqui’s release.
Omar and her fellow “Squad member,” Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib, have maintained close relationships with both groups.
Both organizations held a “Free Dr. Aafia Washington D.C. Advocacy Day” to push for Congress to release Siddiqui.
But neither group has put forward any convincing evidence that “Lady Al Qaeda” is innocent.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped Omar and Tlaib from maintaining a working relationship with the organizations.
Tlaib has worked with American Muslims for Palestine on issues dealing with Palestinian rights.
CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator by the Obama Justice Department in funding the anti-Israel Islamic terrorist group Hamas.
