Why true history matters in today's America! People need to be considered by their actions, not their color.

Marie Therese Metoyer & Antoine Dubulcet Two Black Slave Owner Who Together Owned Over 114 Slaves Combined!!

William Ellison was African American, born into slavery in April of 1790 with the name April Ellison later changed to William Ellison. By 1850, William Ellison had 37 slaves while his sons owned another 16. He was one of about 180 black slave masters in South Carolina at the time, most of whom were former slaves themselves.

Marie Therese Metoyer was born into slavery but died a rich woman. And a rich woman with slaves of her own to boot. In fact, at the turn of the 18th century, Marie Therese Metoyer was one of the richest ladies in Louisiana.
