Unearthly beauty. BaikalKilometers of pristine nature, hot springs and rich culture. This is all Baikal - a place of power and one of the iconic sights of Russia. People come here from all over the world to admire the unique Baikal ice, get acquainted with seals and seek silence in nature reserves.

Baikal stretches for as much as 636 km: one half of it is in the Irkutsk region, and the other is in the Republic of Buryatia. This is the deepest and cleanest lake in the world, and perhaps the oldest - it is about 25 million years old. Since 1996, Baikal has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

What to do on Baikal?
Baikal is interesting at any time of the year. In autumn you can ride a quad bike, swim in hot springs, go for mushrooms, in winter you can ride the largest ice rink, go skiing, go fishing, in summer you can swim on numerous beaches, and in spring you can go dog sledding and explore caves.Go ice diving
Ice paths and labyrinths, grayling shoals and black underwater caves are just a small part of what can be seen underwater. They dive near Listvyanka, at the source of the Angara and near the Ushkany Islands: here is the largest rookery of seals - cute plump seals.
