Inter VLAN Routing Using a Cisco Layer 3 Switch

Modern enterprise networks rarely use router-on-a-stick because it simply does not scale easily. In large networks, administrators use Layer 3 switches to configure Inter-VLAN routing.
I should mention that Inter-VLAN routing using the router-on-a-stick method is simple to implement for a small organization, but larger enterprises requires a faster and much more robust/scalable method to provide Inter-VLAN routing.
