Hosea 11:1–12:14 Psalm 139:17–24 Proverbs 29:22 Jude 1–25
- Hosea 11 - "out of Egypt I called my son..." Matthe 2:15 references this verse (He is the True Israel)
- Continued idol worship,
- Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to repent,
- But Judah still walks with God, Even with the Holy One who is faithful.
- Jesus Lion of the Tribe of Judah🙂
- God has continually spoken through the prophets to people (in these last days spoken through his Son).On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets. 2But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Hebrews is currently my favorite book for reasons like the above,
- Psalm 139:17-24 - 20 For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. 21 Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.
- 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
- Psalm 139 is the kind of Psalm that changes lives and eternities. BIG God,
- Proverbs 29:22 - 22 An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression.
- Anger is like fire it always spreads if it is given oxygen,
- Jude - diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4For certain men have crept in unnoticed,
- 5But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
- The ESV says this Jesus (so who led the Israelites out, you can ask cultists this in Exodus they will agree it is YHWH, then ask them to read Jude, (Jesus pre-incarnate as the second person of the Trinity has always been active with his people )
- Also, sodom and gomorrah serve as examples of the coming Judgment of Hell , so again if you don't mention Hell in the gospel what is the purpose of Sodom and gomorrah according to Jude,
- They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
- Who was Jude - Jesus's half brother, (technically his name was Judas) not Iscariot,
