Christians and the Gift of Choice

Many Christians that struggle feel like they missed out on something. It is not uncommon for some in Christianity to feel that those that excel received a special gift. Well, they did receive a gift from God in a sense. They received the gift of making a choice. They could devote their life to following Jesus, or they could sit around and complain that the straight and narrow way is difficult. They chose to lean into the pilgrimage and do their best knowing that they can do all thing through Christ (Philippians 4:13). So, year after year, they keep pressing ahead, even if just an tenth of an inch at a time, because they know, that on the spiritual journey, all those little steps add up to something wonderful that mediocre people just sit around and wish for.
