In this video I show you a special plant with berries, used to produce a typical regional product.

This plant is called Myrtys Communis, and it's a kind of aromatic plant typical of the mediterranean scrub.

It's berries are used to produce a liquor called Mirto, which means myrtle in Italian and it's a Sardinian typical product. One of the main product.

In order to produce the Mirto, you pick up the berries in September/October and you put them into a hermetically sealed container with ethyl alcohol (food grade 90), and then you leave the mixture for about one and a half month/two month.

After 2 month you have to filter the alcohol which at this point has been aromatized, and then you have to squeeze the berries to get its juice.

Then you prepare a mixture of syrup and warm water and you mixed them with the aromatized alcohol. You filter the liquid again and then all you have to do is to leave
the mixture to rest, and after a couple of month you will get this delicious liquor.

That's the procedure.

In the video you can see the berries closely, and the shape of the leaves.

And the amazing natural landscape of the park as usual.

Here we have done, if you like this video and the previous and you have the pleasure to help me, you just need to put a rumble + and to share!

But, most important, don't forget to enjoy the video!

See you along the coast later on
