Sunday Longplay - Ms. Pac Man (SNES) - Crazy Strange Mazes

This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm playing an SNES port of an arcade game that I've had many fond memories with as a kid. Welcome to Ms. Pac-Man!

Ms. Pac-Man is a sequel to the arcade classic Pac-Man that featured many changes including four different mazes instead of just the one that Pac-Man used (three of which had four warp tunnels as opposed to the two in Pac-Man's only maze), as well as moving fruits as opposed to the stationary ones that Pac-Man had. It built upon Pac-Man's formula and managed to one-up its predecessor in practically every way.

When I was in the 5th grade, my teacher had a Ms. Pac-Man arcade machine in her classroom, and she'd let us play it during class as long as we weren't written up for missing a homework assignment. I was one of three kids in my class to break six figures on the machine, with the high score in the class of 108,950 points.

The SNES port of Ms. Pac-Man one-ups the arcade version by including three additional sets of mazes (Mini, Big, and Strange) as well as the option of adjustable difficulty settings and a Pac-Booster which makes you move much faster when activated. For this first playthrough, I'm playing through the Strange maze set which includes some really unique and tough mazes on the hardest difficulty setting of Crazy with the Pac-Booster turned off. Basically, hardest possible settings!
