DIY Water Resistant Solar Generator

2064Wh Portable Power Station 1500W(Peak 3000W). I designed and built my own DIY water resistant solar generator. I already owned the 3 48 volt batteries that I use on my electric bike so it was just a matter of building a water resistant box around the inverter. I also added a 12v and USB (5v) system to it. Scroll to bottom of description for parts list.

To buy one anywhere near it you would have to spend near $2000. See prebuilt solar generators bellow. Plus if you a e-biker $546.88 for the Solar generator box isn't bad. If the price is too high replace some parts and the cost drops big time. Like the solar charge controller, Inverter, or the screen.

The cost of the batteries could also drop if you built a battery with recycled or well priced 18650. Really this generator is plugin and play as far as the batteries, and solar MPPT controller goes.

{Bellow are ongoing upgrades not on video. Upgrade video coming later.}

AC INPUT (Upgraded to my best charger that came with 20ah battery)
Watts: 130w
Inlets Count: 1

Inverter External Switch - The inverter uses about 8w so adding an external switch makes the unit more user friendly for eco mode.

Car Adapter INPUT (Undergoing testing)
Watts: 80-90w
Tests Failed: Need a way to limit amps to 5 (60w) because the car adapter gets to hot and the watts drop when the adapter is hot. Odd!

Car Battery INPUT (Theory, not yet tested)
Watts: 80-90w?

Car Battery Output(Theory, not yet tested)
Watts: 240w?

Paint all external bolt heads black - Looks better.

Front 120v cords need sorted better

Internal switch for temp control led screen - Save power

Disable inverter screens - Save power
