A song made famous by Bonnie Raitt.
Louise, by Paul Siebel
Mark Urso, vocal and guitar
Recorded at River Song Music

Raitt put this song on her very successful "Sweet Forgiveness" album, back in the 1970's, when we bought the whole record, and listened to all the songs on it! Artists made an effort to create whole records that flowed well beginning to end, with some variety and little or no filler.
Lots of people enjoyed Sweet Forgiveness and this song would be considered a "b-side" or alternative, or an "album cut," not a hit. Nevertheless, it's loved by many!

Wikipedia on Siebel: Paul Siebel (born September 19, 1937)[1] is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Buffalo, New York, United States.[2] He is best known for other artists' cover versions of his songs, most notably "Louise". Other frequently covered Siebel songs include "Spanish Johnny," (which was originally a poem written by Willa Cather in 1917 and expanded upon by Siebel) "Long Afternoons," "Any Day Woman," "Nashville Again," "She Made Me Lose My Blues," and "Then Came the Children".

Siebel has made his home on Maryland's Eastern Shore since the 1990s.
