An oil slick containing around 43,000 gallons has leaked from an undersea pipeline near the Rayong province.
The region’s governor said the oil may hit some of Thailand’s most popular beaches by Friday, as authorities attempt to contain it.
Star Petroleum Refining, the company responsible for the contamination, said they had sealed the pipeline leak.
