Justice Stephen Breyer's Surprise Retirement Makes More Sense The More You Look At It...

Earlier today, it was leaked and later confirmed that the eldest Justice of the Supreme Court, Clinton-Appointed Stephen Breyer, 83, is stepping down from the Court at the end of the current session. Not but a few months ago, he was giving staunch rebuttal to calls of retirement, so what has changed? Does he notice the waning support for his party and not want to further inflict any damage by dragging out his likely retirement any longer; when the Democrats may no longer possess the necessary power to confirm his replacement? Seems about right.

So who will fill the vacancy? Several names have been thrown about, including Ketanji Brown Jackson, Leondra Kruger and Stacey Abrams' sister Leslie Abrams Gardner. The top two seem the most likely and the third would be a brazen admission of nepotism, but what about another appointee? What about tucking away a political liability that is the only person less popular than Biden and Crib Death, what about Justice Kamala Harris? lolololololol
