Today we're regrouting a mobile home tile floor. Usually, if you put tile down in a mobile home, you want to replace the particle board with plywood. Then install your tile. That will prevent trouble down the road.

We use a regular house beater attached to a drill to hand mix the grout. You can pick that and the cheap towels to clean up the grout at any thrift store.

Hi, I'm Phil Bridges, owner of Straight Arrow Repair. Ever want to know how a repairman fixes things? Well come with me, and I'll show you how I solve problems. Let's make things better together.

So, I'm sitting down because I'm fixing grout that has come out, mostly because this is probably put on particle board floor than a mobile home originally had. I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're going to do ceramic tile, you need to do regular plywood. Take out the old particle board has that once it gets any water to it, it will. Do this kind of thing move probably deteriorates, but this is this is going to last for quite a while and yet I would believe so.

We're going to fill this in and we've hand mixed it with a beater. I guess you can take them over and show them that. But. We're going to put this in instead of using a rubber float or a rubber trowel to put it in, I just use a finishing knife I've not have not had any problems, and I'm sure there's some guys rolling over in his grave. Oh my God. He's not doing that rubber float thing. But this is something that I've tried and it doesn't do a worse job, it does as good a good if not more, because I'm so familiar with this.

So we're going to go through all this. He's going to show you that, how he mixes it, what the drill looks like, and the beater that comes from your kitchen type stuff. I just go to a thrift store.

I used to buy the electric beater at Wal-Mart, and it would. The beater wouldn't hold out because the gears are plastic. So I quit doing that and just using a battery powered drill, which will show you. So here I am. We'll come back whenever we start to the next step.

This is the drill. Just a regular. Batter mixer shows what it looks like. This is just a regular batter mixer. And I am. You get your sink dirty when you're cleaning. That's it.

Here you go, you can explain since the boss man is here.

Boss man is tired. It's all scrubbed up, just have to knock off the dust when it dries, it should be somebody else.

But, you know, we scrubbed with the towels. Pretty intense work, right Dad?

It's a lot better not showing a whole bunch of cracks, it looks much more even, the yeah.

This is Phil Bridges, if you like what you saw and think it might be helpful to somebody else, push that like button and let other people know what you and I know, and we'll work together toward making a brighter future. By the way, we're not Amera-Can'ts We Americans see you next time.
