Kaohsiung Light Rail progress 環狀輕軌 [episode 03] 🇹🇼 (2021-01)

Footage of the part of phase II of the LRT line that was opened for passenger service on 2021-01-12, Gushan/Cianjhen/Lingya Districts, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It includes the following new stations of phase 2:

C16 Wenwu Temple 文武聖殿
C15 Shoushan Park 壽山公園 (ALIEN Art Centre 金馬賓館當代美術館)
C37 LRT Depot 輕軌機廠
C36 Kaisyuan Ersheng 凱旋二聖
C35 Kaisyuan Wuchang 凱旋武昌
C34 Wucyuan Elementary School 五權國小
C33 Department of Health 衛生局
C32 Kaisyuan Park 凱旋公園

For phase one 'CAF Urbos 3' trams have been introduced. Phase two brings now 'Alsthom Citadis X05' trams to the network. The light rail system operates catenary-free on 1,435 mm standard gauge track. The Citadis trams run autonomously (regarding energy supply) thanks to the Autonomy charging solution, combined with the Citadis Ecopack system of energy storage and catenary-free recharging system at each station. The trams also boast several new technologies, including permanent magnet motors for higher efficiency, as well as optimised HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning).
