Viva Republica Jailbreak Cigar Review

This is a very unique limited production cigar that is going to be very hard to find, but it's interesting enough that it deserves a proper review even with it's tiny production numbers. What you see here is two cigars in one - a somewhat short lancero at the core of the cigar, surrounded by the second! It measures 6x58 all together, with an outer wrapper showing a dark chocolate, oily, slightly toothy feel, small veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and rich cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a very complex medium-full bodied blend of flavors. The draw is thick, oily and smooth with a caramel, earth, straight tobacco followed by a zesty long finish with a pepper kick. The first third grows quite complex with a bold sweet cocoa, touch of coffee then a deep smooth earth that takes over in to the finish. The draw is very open, needing double puffs for a good burn. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes construction is great, dropping the ash in a solid chunk. Flavors remain smooth bold and complex, bringing back the pepper at the tail of the finish and adding a musty aged tobacco on the draw. Ending at just over an hour where it went very hot the last third showed no further changes.
