I support Black Lives Matter = I am not racist I have black friends

As a Gen-x person. I grew up came of age in the 1990s. I was pretty sure that we actually have mostly solved the race issues in America. We had started making forward progress towards getting past race. Then Barack Hussein Obama was elected president and you realized that it was not fixed. People did not want to make forward progress. The problem was, the people that didn't want to make forward progress were all the white liberals. They sold the idea that conservatives were the racists. That conservatives were the slave owners. Conservatives were the ones that fought against civil rights. Conservatives in general have always been for equal rights. They want you to work and pay taxes. They could care less the color of your skin as long as you pay your taxes. What it is, all the college educated liberals. That have been taught the idea of Marxism and oppressor and the oppressed. They all feel guilty for their position in life and feel that they are the opressor and want to fix that. In doing so they have to see everything through the lens of race. That by definition makes them racist. All the virtue signals and all the slogans, the BLM ssigns in their front yards. They don't really care. They just want you to think they are not racist. Because “they have black friends”
