Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

Bringing God honor is the purpose, not just winning souls. If soul winning was God's only purpose God could have done that on His own much more effectively than we could. No, God's purpose is that He would be honored and that happens when a sinner, who has been justified, passes on His experience to another sinner who is then justified and does the very same thing.
