2 Esdras 6:54-59
54And after these, Adam also, whom thou madest lord of all thy creatures: of him come we all & the people also whom thou hast chosen. 55All this have I spoken before thee, O Lord, because thou madest the world for our sakes 56As for the other people, which also come of Adam, thou hast said that they are nothing, but be like unto spittle & hast likened the abundance of them unto a drop that falleth from a vessel. 57And now, O Lord, behold, these heathen, which have ever been reputed as nothing, have begun to be lords over us, & to devour us. 58But we thy people, whom thou hast called thy firstborn, thy only begotten & thy fervent lover, are given into their hands. 59If the world now be made for our sakes, why do we not possess an inheritance with the world? how long shall this endure?

Leviticus 26;13-28
13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen & I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me & will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption & the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes & cause sorrow of heart & ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you & ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you & ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 And I will break the pride of your power & I will make your heaven as iron & your earth as brass:
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me & will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children & destroy your cattle & make you few in number & your high ways shall be desolate.
23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you & will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant & when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

Deuteronomy 30;1-4
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

Baruch 2;26-33
26 And the house which is called by thy name hast thou laid waste, as it is to be seen this day, for the wickedness of the house of Israel & the house of Juda.
27 O Lord our God, thou hast dealt with us after all thy goodness & according to all that great mercy of thine,
28 As thou spakest by thy servant Moses in the day when thou didst command him to write the law before the children of Israel, saying,
29 If ye will not hear my voice, surely this very great multitude shall be turned into a small number among the nations, where I will scatter them.
30 For I knew that they would not hear me, because it is a stiffnecked people: but in the land of their captivities they shall remember themselves.
31 And shall know that I am the Lord their God: for I will give them an heart & ears to hear:
32 And they shall praise me in the land of their captivity & think upon my name,
33 And return from their stiff neck & from their wicked deeds: for they shall remember the way of their fathers, which sinned before the Lord.
