Really it was much more than a sermon, or a casual stop-by visit discussion. Rather it was a deliberate charge to all the saints world wide to awaken them out of deep spiritual sleep.

In fact this word was so full of the witness bearing of the Holy Spirit. I myself felt His strong presence in my heart. I think about a verse on 2 Samuel 1:18, "Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow."

I thought about Jamie this way. He has been taught the use of the bow so to speak, when it comes to the word. His message was strong and articulated and on point. We can hear the voice of our Captain in his admonition to the body of Christ. The high emphasis of Jamie's message was no lesson, it was a call to the complacent and those who live presumptuously to wake up and stay awake.

He made it very crystal clear that cowards never won heaven, and neither will win they. It is those who have staked their eternal life on the Rock of Ages, and hold fast their faith, and are very courageous because they know Him.

"Cowards never won heaven. Do no claim that you are begotten of God and you have His royal blood running in your veins unless you can prove your lineage by His heroic spirit: dare to be holy in spite of men and devils. ~William Gurnall - The Christian In Complete Armour
