Central City Colorado gold mining snow

The first gold lode in Colorado was discovered here before it was a state or a territory on May 6, 1859 by John H Gregory of Georgia. My video is from Bates Hill behind the Gaston Mine. Later named Mountain City, it sits at the border of Central City and Black Hawk Colorado. I hope you enjoy the video.
