Nehemiah 8 A word study of the Hebrew “been” and the Greek “sunesis” which are consistently used in both the Old and New Testaments to denote understanding that is not an ordinary human acquisition. The Hiphil stem of the Hebrew is causative, showing that God is the One who causes us to understand.
