In New Mexico, plane pilot reports UFO encounter

A mysterious object would have crossed the path of American Airlines Flight 2292 on February 21, 2021, reports the plane's pilot in a radio broadcast. Flying over New Mexico towards Phoenix, Arizona, the professional would have reported - with a tone of surprise - seeing a "long and cylindrical object" passing over the aircraft. It was, according to the audio, "something like a missile, moving very fast".

A 15-second clip of the broadcast was obtained by enthusiast Steve Douglass and its authenticity was later confirmed by American Airlines. "I heard what this aircraft conveyed above other conversations by the tone of [the pilot's] voice," Douglass says in an interview with local broadcaster ABC 7.
