Tennis Australia’s Pride Day just ‘vacuous grandstanding’

Rita Panahi says Tennis Australia’s Pride Day was just “vacuous grandstanding”.

“If Tennis Australia actually cared about the plight of LGBT people in countries where they are persecuted then they wouldn't have Emirates as their official airline,” Ms Panahi said.

“After all, Emirates is owned by the Government of Dubai, a place where LGBT rights are non-existent and those found guilty of acts of homosexuality can be flogged, imprisoned and even killed.”
