Officer involved shooting of 19 year-old man. VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED..

The Loveland Police Department in Colorado released body worn camera footage of an officer involved shooting that occurred on August 16th 2021.
On August 16th 2021, the Loveland Police Department responded to a mental health call. The males grandmother call to report her grandson was going through a mental health crisis and he was breaking and throwing things. She also reported he was a danger to himself and that he had a knife.

The officer can be seen contacting the male in the backyard. The male can be seen holding a knife in his right hand as he approaches the officer. The officer gives him commands to stop. The male continues and the officer is forced to fire his service weapon striking the male.

After the shooting, the other police officers arriving on scene again rendering medical aid.
