The Laws of Nature show us that self-preservation is an innate desire for all humans. We saw this heavily in the craziness of 2020, with threats to law abiding citizens constantly surrounding us. When attacked, we defend, we protect, we preserve our health and safety.

This is the foundation of self-defense, being able to protect yourself against an aggressor. It is possible that this law of self-preservation is also why so many people (usually unfamiliar with firearms) oppose the 2nd Amendment and gun ownership.
