Holly and I went to Farmer's Branch, TX to the Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival. Until this we had only gone to festivals that were 1:1, jams to concerts. This is the first one where there weren't a lot of jams, it was predominantly festival/show. That is not to say there weren't jams, we did find some tucked away here and there. As well as some private invitation jams at the main hotel.
The festival and concerts from all the artists were outstanding!
There are two stages at this festival, the main stage and the grassroots stage. I performed on the grassroots stage. The band, Harvest Moon Countrygrass, asked if I could play banjo, dobro, and guitar and to sing harmony vocals. It was so much fun. Sheila and Fred are both very talented.
