Following the mounting prospect of a Russian invasion on the European country, the United States has requested all of its citizens and a portion of its embassy employees in Ukraine to return home.

Starting Sunday, January 23, the US State Department said it would begin repatriating non-essential staff and family members of diplomatic staff in Ukraine.
