(22)Female Allegorical figures on coins - part 4 - coin collecting for beginners

Female allegorical figures have been used on coins for thousands of years. They differ from goddesses as they are not worshipped, but serve as reminders of virtuous behavior and ideals. Today I cover Italy to Peru. Also, there are a couple of goddesses mentioned in today's feature, including the Queen of the Amazons.

I am from Canada, live in Japan, and collect coins from everywhere.
