Never Miss an Opportunity for Rainy Street Photography

The storm hit while I was preparing to settle in for the evening.
What am I thinking, I said aloud.
Pattering of rain. Fluffy, colour-coated clouds galore.
Switch gears with a quick fill of my water bottle—grab my gear and kiss my lady.
New neighborhood mapped out; dogs screamed intrusion as I parked; sloshing through the storm for dynamite street images.
You could blame my fascination with rain on the fact it’s so rare in the desert. That’s not my motivation. Even as a kid, my mom couldn’t keep me indoors when the rain or snow shuttered my New Jersey hometown.
Today, the rainy season in Tucson excites my need to skateboard or grab some moody photography.
