GUILTY OF POLLUTION BUT GIVEN THE HIGHEST AWARD FOR PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Helen Clark, New Zealand's ex PM was taken to task for awarding a large tobacco company for protecting the environment and removing poverty. Clark had a leadership role in the UN (UNDP) at the time.

This being the highest award given by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
