Remove rust from fishing gear

Clean fishing gear, remove rust and replace hook and ring.
This tutorial shows how to maintain fishing equipment. This is a method that I use, on fishing lures, rings and fishing hooks are as good as new. It is an effective way to remove rust.

In some cases the rust attack is too strong, then parts must be replaced. Towards the end of the video I show how to change rings and hooks.

This method can also be used to remove rust from plastic and other things in metal. But be careful with galvanized steel, as acid corrodes the galvanized.
