Shocking footage captured the moment an alleged stolen car smashed into two police vehicles and broke a detective's leg in the car park of the centre on Louis Street in Airport Wes.

Police were initially called to the scene after reports of a suspicious vehicle.

The situation quickly escalated, with vision showing the vehicle reversing away from a group of officers.
