It's December 6, 1980 and the USS Nimitz is on maneuvers in the Pacific ocean when it encounters an electrical storm that transports it back in time to December 6, 1941. So now there is a nuclear powered aircraft carrier sitting between Hawaii and the Japanese fleet on the day before the attack on Pear Harbor.
