Feeding our Italian Honeybees Real Pollen

Notice the little yellow balls at our hive entrance. We are feeding our bees on a warm winter day some real pollen that we had stored for them in case they needed it. We have hay bales around our hives to insulate them from the wind and we have dumped pollen in the bales and placed some in and around the little airport door for these tenacious beings.
