Bringing Common Sense Back To Our Schools with Alicia Farrant

Orange County School Board candidate Alicia Farrant comes on the podcast this week to talk about the issues that matter to her, and many parents within the Orlando community. She wants to bring back common sense policies within our schools and re-focus the attention back on education. Alicia and I discuss local issues like teacher pay, excellence of standards, and creating a true celebration of unity within our schools' diversity. We also talk through a moment that went viral on social media, when Alicia brought explicit books to the attention of our school board. These books, including Gender Queer and Lawn Boy, depict graphic sexual content both in words and pictures.
