This recipe was from the cookbook "The Encyclopedia of Creative Cooking" Hardcover, published in 1980 (my copy is a 1984 edition) This was probably the first cookbook I ever owned; I received it as a gift in around 1984.

This is the rest of the beef stew Mexican-style (the part that didn't go to Alaska) with a sample rehydration.

Freeze dried food will stay fresh for many years and be ready and waiting when you need it.
