Aerial views of Saint Cross Church 菁寮聖十字架天主堂, Jingliao Village, Houbi District, Tainan City, Taiwan. The Roman Catholic church in rural Taiwan was designed by German architect Gottfried Böhm (23 January 1920 – 9 June 2021). It was designed and built in the end 1950s.
In front of the building is a plaque bearing the inscription:
聖十字架堂這座帶有德國傳統教堂或城堡神秘氣氛的教堂，則建於1960年完成。1986年榮獲建築最高榮譽的桂冠一普立茲獎。
Holy Cross Church, a church with the mysterious atmosphere of a traditional German Church or castle, was built and completed in 1960. In 1986 the architect won the Pritzker Prize, the highest honor in architecture.Show more
