It’s just me in this episode but I’d like to cover a very important topic. On January 17, 2022 newly elected Virginia Governor Mr. Glenn Youngkin signed 11 executive orders during his first day in office.

Well to clarify there are 9 Executive order and 2 Executive Directives but all important and powerful

If anything, I respect the man for going straight to work and not dawdling around.

Ending the use of inherently divisive concepts, including critical race theory, and restoring excellence in K-12 Public Education in the commonwealth.
Governor Youngkin affirms his position by stating “Our children deserve far better from their education than to be told what to think.” Instead the foundation of our educational system should be built on teaching our students how to think for themselves.
I wholeheartedly agree with this
So how is he going to back up this talk?
The Superintendent of Public Instruction shall review all policies within the Department of Education to identify those that promote inherently divisive concepts. Such policies shall be ended.
Executive Employees shall be prohibited from directing or otherwise compelling students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to inherently divisive concepts
The Superintendent of Public Instruction shall raise standards in K-12 education and immediately take steps to increase the transparency and honesty of performance measures for public elementary and secondary schools

Reaffirming the rights of parents in the upbringing, education, and care of their children
There is no greater priority than the health and welfare of Virginia’s children. Under Virginia law, parents, not the government, have the fundamental right to make decisions concerning the care of their children

Restoring integrity and confidence in the Virginia Parole Board and the commonwealth’s system of criminal justice
These allegations were brought forward by citizens, crime victims and their relatives, and elected Commonwealth’s Attorneys. The OSIG investigation revealed some of the inmates released by the Virginia Parole Board had been recently denied parole or otherwise deemed ineligible for parole, raising questions about the lawfulness of the abrupt reversals of these decisions.

Investigation in Loudoun County Schools
Attorney General will conduct a full investigation
Combat sexual assualt
Virginia parents deserve answers and assurances that the safety of their children will never be compromised

However, the requirement of state employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccination and disclose their vaccination status or engage in mandatory testing is harmful to their individual freedoms and personal privacy. My Administration will not require that these interests be sacrificed as a condition of employment in the Executive Branch of our government
