Green Python is a species of python found in New Guinea, many islands in Indonesia, and the Cape York Peninsula and Australia. It is exclusively arboreal and of a distinct green color.

The average size of an adult of this species is 90 to 120 cm in length, reaching a maximum size of about 2.13 cm.
Their diet consists of small mammals such as rodents and sometimes also reptiles. Oviparous animal with 10 to 25 eggs per laying. Newborns are usually lemon colored with irregular stripes and purple and brown spots, although golden or orange individuals may appear in some litters. In any case, they turn green as they grow
