Richard and Susan Pitcairn take a trip down memory lane when the first edition of their classic Rodale Press book, "Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health" was featured on the popular Merv Griffin Show 2-2-83. It was their only talk show spot ever, but the book went on to have many US and foreign editions and is still in print (Penguin/Random House).

He began his career as a radio and big band singer, later appearing in film and on Broadway. From 1965 to 1986, Griffin hosted his own talk show, The Merv Griffin Show. He also created the game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
