Nineveh was the capital of the Assyrian Empire, the greatest empire in her time. But God through Nahum predicted her complete defeat because of evil: #violence, #lying, #robbery, and #mistreatement of others. We must learn that God brings down corrupt nations, but He does so in His own time and way. He gives people opportunity to #repent, but when He determines a nation is "ripe" to fall, no #wealth, influence, or #military might can save it.
