Handmade Belt with Tooled Guitar Inlays | Leatherworking

For this project I used two layers of 5oz vegetable tanned leather to produce a 10oz belt. The inlays were stitched at 9 stitches per inch with 0.4mm polyester thread. The strap body and brass hardware were stitched at 7 SPI with 0.6mm polyester. As always, everything was done by hand.

The belt required about 18 working hours to make, although a good amount of that went into planning. The brass keep was made by me and the casting/polishing process is shown in a separate video, linked below.
