Ezekiel 13 - False Prophets Part 2 - Ezekiel Study
In the last study on Ezekiel, I was talking about the fact that in the Old Testament there is no mention of the second coming, because it was God's intention that there being no Second Coming. The second coming is a Plan B because the first coming – Plan A – didn't work out. You have to understand and appreciate the fact that God has, from time to time, reverted from Plan A to Plan B, and then when that failed, started over.
God has a repetitious process of using Plan A / Plan B, and if you understand Plan A (what could have been in the Old Testament), then your understanding of Plan B (what will be in the New Testament) will make a lot more sense. But if you mix Plan A with Plan B, you create a nightmare of interpretation and prophetic explanation that has nothing to do with what God's plans really are.
Let me try to explain Plan A in its simplest terms. Under Plan A, God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden: He gave them everything and made them happy – then they sinned. At this point, Plan B (the plan of salvation) had to be put into motion to redeem Falling Man. God wasn't caught by surprise nor did He cause Plan B to happen: Adam and Eve sinned and, were it not for the mercy of God, they would have been destroyed that day. Instead, Jesus stepped in the way and became man's intercessor, and as a result of his love for Adam and Eve, there came a Plan B.
