'Huge explosions' and smoke 'seen for miles' after fire in Dewsbury

A building burst into flames on an industrial unit after locals heard "huge bangs" sparking panic.

Residents reported hearing a "loud bang" in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, with a massive smoke plume seen billowing from miles away.

Many locals have reported hearing a loud bang in the Kirklees town, with one saying that something had “blown up”.

Another posted on social media: "Massive explosion in Dewsbury. Black smoke everywhere!"

Footage posted on social media show a huge plume of smoke coming from a building which was ablaze, but there are no reports of injuries.
