Making a Medium Weight Mallet // Using traditional hand-tools

I have been using wooden mallets more and more in my work in stead of the nylon hammer, since it just feels better with regards to control and grip.
However, I only have a 'light' and 'heavy' weight mallets. No in between weight to use, since sometimes the light mallet is too flimsy for heavier work, and the heavy mallet causes fatigue during the work.
I made the mallet out of a hard wood, i.e. African Teak in order for the weight and durability.
