“Go! Go! Go!” | Dramatic LAPD rescue of trapped pilot

“Go! Go! Go!”

On 09 Jan 2022 the LAPD responded to a downed light aircraft along the Metrolink Antelope Valley line train tracks. Uniformed officers worked frantically to rescue the pilot, managing to pull him free moments before a train barrelled into the downed aircraft.

“Foothill Division Officers displayed heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot who made an emergency landing on the railroad tracks at San Fernando Rd. and Osborne St., just before an oncoming train collided with the aircraft.” -- LAPD
