Blame Canada is a song from South Park, the movie written by Trey Parker and Marc Shaiman. In the song the parents of the town of South Park, led by Sheila Broflovski (voiced by Mary Kay Bergman), believe that Canada is responsible for the vulgarity of their children, more precisely because of Terrance and Philippe's film, Asses of Fire.
The song is a scapegoat satire and criticism of parents not controlling their children's consumption of popular culture [1].
Blame Canada was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2000 and was sung on stage at the ceremony by Robin Williams.
